Kyra Gaasbeek
Kyra, born in the Netherlands, was just 12 years old when she first learnt about kinesiology. She received her first training in this field through her mother, as Kyra accompanied her to all seminars and served as her "test subject". As a result, Kyra's first insights into this field were very intense. However, she also learnt from her mother's experiences that kinesiology was not yet recognised by society as a method of therapy. She therefore decided to train as an occupational therapist and worked in the field of psychiatry. To this day, these experiences are still very helpful to her.

After studying social work in Enschede, Kyra moved to Australia at the age of 22, where she studied psychology for a year. Through Andrew D. Verity (kinesiologist, naturopath, NLP trainer) she was reintroduced to kinesiology. She completed a full training in "Educating Alternatives" (now known as Neuro Training) and assisted Andrew during his workhops in Australia and Europe, soon translating him and discovering her passion for teaching.

Kyra comes from a family with a long tradition of teachers, so the joy of passing on knowledge is in her blood. She sees teaching and passing on knowledge as her purpose in life.

In 1995 Kyra began to teach her first kinesiology seminars ("Blueprint" created by Andrew Verity), this was followed by teaching other seminars in many other countries (Australia, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, Italy, South Africa). She now also teaches seminars in RESET TMJ® 1 and 2 (according to Philip Rafferty), and has created some of her own seminars, like "Language of the Hand".

As a translator, she is involved in a number of other forms of therapy such as cranio-sacral therapy (part of osteopathy), trauma therapy (according to Dr Francine Shapiro) and has worked intensively with colour diagnostics as developed by Prof. Dr Lüscher.
She has also spent several years at the IAK congresses in Kirchzarten-Freiburg and at the former "for! (ju:) ®" Institute (research and youth work), where she taught special seminars for teachers and social workers in the youth sector.

Kyra also works as a therapist. This is important to her in order not to lose touch with the basis and also helps her with her own further developments. She is always on the lookout for new developments in the field of kinesiology and writes her own manuals to improve and facilitate their application in practice.
Her aim is to convey kinesiology in a simple, understandable way and to bring the knowledge of kinesiology to where it can be used most effectively.
